Việt Nam logs 774 COVID infections, no deaths on Thursday

Việt Nam recorded 774 new COVID-19 infections in 44 of 63 localities in the past 24 hours, bringing the total caseload to 10,734,925, according to the health ministry's Thursday report.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam recorded 774 new COVID-19 infections in 44 out of 63 localities in the past 24 hours, bringing the total caseload to 10,734,925.

Hà Nội continues to lead and is the only locality with over 100 new cases (145).

The remaining transmissions were found in Đà Nẵng (48), Nghệ An (45), Bắc Ninh (42), Vĩnh Phúc (36), HCM City (31), Lào Cai (30), Phú Thọ (28), Quảng Ninh (27), Yên Bái (27), Bắc Kạn (20), Nam Định (20), Hải Phòng (20), Hà Nam (19), Tuyên Quang (18), Thái Nguyên (18), Quảng Bình (18), Hưng Yên (16), Thái Bình (16), Ninh Bình (14), Sơn La (14), Quảng Trị (13), Hải Dương (13), Hà Giang (11), Lai Châu (10), Hòa Bình (10), Lạng Sơn (8 ), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (8 ), Thanh Hóa (7), Cao Bằng (6), Lâm Đồng (6), Bắc Giang (5), Điện Biên (5), Khánh Hòa (3), Gia Lai (3), Bến Tre (3), Phú Yên (2), Bình Dương (2), Đồng Tháp (2), Bình Thuận (1), Bình Định (1), Bình Phước (1), Quảng Nam (1) and An Giang (1).

The seven-day rolling average of new daily infections in Việt Nam is at 764, down from 868 a week ago.

Thursday saw the recovery of 8,835 COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,583,105 so far.

With no deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, Việt Nam's number of fatalities still stands at 43,083, about 0.4 per cent of total infections.

224,618,268 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country to date, including 201,565,489 in the adult population, 17,510,814 for those aged 12-17 years, and 5,541,965 for children aged 5-11. — VNS
