HÀ NỘI — The Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam (CAAV) is setting up plans to ensure security and social order at the country's airports during the 31st  SEA Games 31.

Airports, especially Nội Bài, Đà Nẵng, Tân Sơn Nhất international airports, and Cát Bi airport are ordered to develop and implement plans to ensure security and order for sport delegations arriving.

Patrols and surveillance in airports need to be beefed up while solutions should be set to guard flights that are designed for the transportation of athletes and delegation officials.

It is necessary for the Airport Corporation of Việt Nam (ACV) to coordinate with relevant agencies in devising plans relating to the travel of athletes as well as dealing with any incidents.

CAAV has requested airports to strengthen patrols, increase guards, check and closely monitor passengers, luggage and goods.

The ACV also needs to work with police forces to devise security plans in the event of emergency situations, terrorism prevention, fire prevention and rescue at airports as well as preparations for aviation security checks for high-ranking delegations and athletes.

The aviation security force must strengthen patrols and inspection of suspected subjects, and swindlers at the airports to ensure safety for areas around the airports.

Airlines are also requested to collaborate with aviation authorities and agencies in ensuring security and facilitate the arrival and departure of sports delegations. — VNS
