HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam reported another record daily tally of COVID-19 infections on Tuesday with 175,480 new cases in 63 provinces and cities.
The new record brings the total caseload in Việt Nam to 6,552,918 infections since the start of the pandemic.
Out of the new transmissions, 12 were imported and quarantined on arrival.
Hà Nội still topped the list of new infections with 26,708, followed by the central province of Nghệ An with 10,752, and Phú Thọ with 9,062.

The average number of daily COVID-19 cases hit a record 166,671 over the past seven days.
The country added 68 more deaths related to COVID-19, with the total death toll reaching 41,477, about 0.7 per cent of total infections.
111,164 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number given the all-clear since the start of the pandemic to 3,383,142.
There are currently 4,269 people patients in serious condition, with five on life support.
More than 200 million vaccine doses have been administered in the country to date. — VNS
