Việt Nam was committed to supporting Laos in the fight against drugs, said deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyễn Duy Ngọc

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính held talks with President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Say Chhum, who is on a three-day visit to Việt Nam.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste Tạ Văn Thông presented his credentials to José Ramos Horta, President of Timor Leste, in the capital city of Dili on October 24.        

The draft, comprised of eight chapters and 58 articles, has been drawn up in line with the nine policies specified in the governmental Resolution 152.

The visit is made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping, announced the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations on Tuesday.

The decision was made at the Secretariat’s meeting on Monday in Hà Nội, under the chair of Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng.

Cambodia valued the support from Việt Nam in all of Cambodia’s historical eras, stressed that his country maintains a firm stance in nourishing the traditional relations between Việt Nam and Cambodia in the spirit of “sound neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-standing stability.”

Việt Nam supports the implementation of visions and roadmaps outlined in the Bridgetown Covenant adopted at the 15th session of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD15) in October 2021 to help countries overcome inequality and vulnerability towards comprehensive and sustainable recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, a Vietnamese diplomat has said. 

In 2020, the southeastern region's gross regional product (GRDP) increased by 4.9 times compared to 2005 and 2.6 times compared to 2010, exceeding the set target. 

In his message, the Vietnamese leader also congratulated the 20th CPC National Congress on its success.
