Việt Nam and India share a long-standing friendship founded by President Hồ Chí Minh and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. In September 2016, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Việt Nam, the two countries elevated ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. A decade on, bilateral relations have achieved tangible progress, strengthening trust and opening a new phase of deeper, more dynamic cooperation.
