Reality shows featuring minors are attracting lots of viewers in Việt Nam - particularly as people seem to be getting bored with adult shows. Some really like these shows, saying that they can make child participants more confident or nurture their talent. Others disagree. American child development expert Jennifer Jones, author of The Three P’s of Parenting (Power, Protection and Prediction), said to Fox News that putting children under the TV spotlight is a crime, plain and simple.

"It goes beyond exploitation," she said.
