Cải lương show to raise money for poor farmers

Dozens of veteran and young cải lương (reformed theatre) artists and singers will perform at HCM City Drama Theatre for a charity programme on Friday to raise funds for poor farmers living in the Cửu Long (Mekong) River Delta provinces.

A traditional theatre programme offering tuồng and hát bội (classical drama) performances will begin this month on HCM City’s Bùi Viện Walking Street, as part of the city’s efforts to attract visitors.  

10 year-old artist opens solo show

A solo exhibition entitled Green Dreams by 10-year-old artist Nguyễn Hà Phương is being held at the Việt Nam Fine Arts Museum until September 17. Phương is the youngest artist to hold a solo show at the prestigious museum.
