Director dedicated to battle in Vị Xuyên

Meritorious Artist and director Phạm Lê Nam has made six documentary films about the border battles against China invasion in Vị Xuyên District in the northern province of Hà Giang. Born in Hà Nội and growing up in peace, Nam has had a lifelong interest in Vị Xuyên.

US author: lost and found in Việt Nam

For American scholar Jack Weatherford, a professor of anthropology at Macalester College in Minnesota, Việt Nam is a country that evokes memoirs and feelings. He lost his father due to the war in Việt Nam, that’s why he felt a deep sympathy with the local people.

 

Village hosts children’s festival

Various activities themed around the childhoods of 12 ethnic groups will be organised at the Việt Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture – Tourism in the outskirts of Hà Nội throughout August.

Soloists team up to perform classical Brahms piece

The Việt Nam National Symphony and Orchestra (VNSO) together with guest musicians American Grace Ho and Vietnamese Bùi Công Duy will be performing classical pieces at the annual Toyota Concert in Hà Nội and HCM City.
