Citadel named Nat’l Special Relic

The Điện Hải Citadel in the central city was officially recognised as a National Special Relic, under the Prime Minister’s decision signed last year, marking the 160th anniversary of the victory in fighting against French-Spanish coalition forces in 1858-60.

More communes have libraries but lack funds to buy new books

Việt Nam increased its number of libraries in communes to 3,257 last year, a growth of 20 per cent compared to 2016, according to a forum on the country’s library system held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Library Department in HCM City on Wednesday.

 

 

Fireworks fest prices announced

Ticket prices for the 2018 Đà Nẵng International Fireworks Festival will range from VNĐ300,000 ($13.3) to VNĐ2 million ($88.5) for each night’s performance on the Hàn River banks between April 30 and June 30.
