Mexican Gastronomy Week in HCM City

If you love Mexican food,HCM City is the place to be. The first ever Mexican Gastronomy Week is being held to celebrate Mexico's Independence Day. The restaurants taking part include District Federal, Agave Saigon, Xolo Tequila Bar, Tacos Fuego, and Gringo Tacos y Cantina.

UK Festival to open in HCM City

UK Festival, an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the United Kingdom and Việt Nam and the 30th year of the British Council operating in the country, will be organised in HCM City on Saturday.

Exhibition “From Louis to Pasteur” opened in HCM City

The Pasteur Institute in HCM City in coordination with the French Embassy in Việt Nam and French Consulate General in HCM City have organised a ceremony commemorating the bicentenary of Louis Pasteur’s birth with an exhibition showcasing his life and work.

A taste of UK

Thousands of people joined in the UK Festival in downtown Hà Nội over the weekend. They enjoyed music from 911, food, saw some very British things like the Harry Potter platform, a double decker bus and the iconic Mini Cooper car. More people are expected to turn out at a similar event in HCM City this weekend. The events are in celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Kon Tum launches video contest to promote tourism

The contest, with the theme “Amazing Kon Tum”, is organised by the province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to introduce the landscapes, people, and culture of the Central Highlands to local and international visitors.

Bringing British afternoon tea culture to Vietnamese people

At the UK Festival in downtown Hà Nội last weekend, a highlight during the two-day event was British ambassador Iain Frew making scones with Vietnamese chef Phan Anh. The cake is often served with tea as part of the British afternoon tea custom.
