PHÚ YÊN - Phú Yên province aims to focus on tourism development, especially during this summer.

The People's Committee of Phú Yên Province has recently implemented a stimulation plan to attract tourists for the summer of 2024, offering various new tours, unique tourism products, and many incentives for tourists.

During the period from June to September, Phú Yên province will organise numerous packages for resorts and island tourism products, eco-tourism, nature experiences, and mountain and forest exploration, along with culinary products such as ocean tuna and local OCOP products.

New tourism products, which are linked with tourism products of the six provinces of Bình Định, Đắk Lắk, Gia Lai, Quảng Ngãi, Kon Tum, and Phú Yên have been developed and introduced as well.

This summer, Phú Yên aims to target international tourists from Southeast Asian countries, South Korea, China, Japan, Thailand and India, as well as domestic tourists from Hà Nội, Hồ Chí Minh City, Đồng Nai, Bình Dương, Central Highlands provinces, and coastal provinces.

The province focuses on attracting business travelers, conferences, seminars, individual travelers, families, and young traveler groups for experiential tourism.

According to Nguyễn Lê Vũ, deputy director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phú Yên Province, to attract tourists in the summer of 2024, 15 tourism businesses in the area have agreed to participate in discount programmes, offering fixed room rates, introducing new product packages and tours targeting travelers by car and visitors from industrial zones.

Some units offer attractive promotions this summer such as a 20 per cent discount on room rates for all customer segments, a three-day two-night all-inclusive room package for only VNĐ1.99 million/room/night and a three-day two-night group tour to explore forests and the sea with accommodation in four-star hotels priced at VNĐ2.89 million/person.

To make an impression on tourists, Phú Yên province also organises cultural, sports, and recreational activities on a large scale such as the National Karatedo Youth Championship, the National Club Table Tennis Championship, art performances at Nhạn Tower, the art performance programme commemorating the 35th anniversary of the re-establishment of Phú Yên Province, among others.

The People's Committee of Phú Yên Province has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to take the lead, co-operate with the Phú Yên Tourism Association, relevant authorities, and business enterprises to develop and promote the stimulation programme for the summer of 2024, and conduct promotional activities through newspapers, radio, social media, and tourism industry websites.

As per the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, on this occasion, the province will also implement domestic tourism activities under the theme "Vietnamese People Traveling in Việt Nam - I Love Việt Nam.” - VNS
