Street parade

HUẾ — A street parade comprising art troupes from several countries, including Japan, Korea, Mongolia and Cuba, was part of the Huế Festival that is currently underway.

The parade attracted crowds of Huế locals and visitors to the city’s main streets on May 1. The music, dances, traditional costumes and circus-technique performances at the parade drew the applause of the crowds and turned the city into a grand stage, attracting the largest audience among the 50 shows and programmes at the biennial cultural event.

The audience enjoyed the parade as it gave them a chance to interact directly with the artists, in addition to seeing the colourful costumes, watching the beautiful girls and listening to some great music at this free show.

The parade, however, appeared disorganized. Commuters could not be kept away from the venue and the inexperience of the commanders who were controlling the parade’s movement was apparent.

Việt Nam News reporters were present at the parade venue and captured some of the scenes.
