Art exhibition honours local artists

An exhibition of 50 sculptures, and lacquer, oil and canvas, and watercolour paintings are on display at the central city’s Fine Arts Museum, featuring the typical lifestyle of people in the city and central region.

ĐÀ NẴNG — An exhibition of 50 sculptures, and lacquer, oil and canvas, and watercolour paintings are on display at the central city’s Fine Arts Museum, featuring the typical lifestyle of people in the city and central region.

The event, which opened its doors last weekend, showed the best artworks by 36 local artists for the New Year celebration.

Artists depicted the beauty of landscapes and people in the region as well as environmental disasters and ocean pollution in coastal areas.

The museum said the exhibition will present annual prizes for local artists on the 68th anniversary of Việt Nam Fine Arts Day, and honour the contribution of artists.

The exhibition will last through January 4 at 78 Lê Duẩn Street, Đà Nẵng City.

The museum, which displays 413 works by artists from the city and provinces in the region, is one of the popular cultural destinations for tourists besides the Chăm Sculpture Museum and the Đà Nẵng Museum. — VNS
