HÀ NỘI — The modern-day lifestyle of Hà Nội 's residents has been depicted truthfully and vibrantly through the lens of the city's photographers in an ongoing exhibition entitled The Beauty of Hanoians.

The show is the result of a festival of art photographs launched by the Hà Nội Association of Photographic Artists. The seventh of its kind, it received nearly 1,900 entries by 311 photographers.

The exhibition includes 130 photos including 11 that received awards, according to Đặng Đình An, chairman of the association.

“The photographers showcased the beauty of Hanoians working, studying, performing or doing public activities and their daily lifestyle,” he said. “Notably, they captured valuable moments such as thousands of people in red gathering at Sword Lake to celebrate the victory of the Vietnamese football team. It’s a historic moment.”

The gold medal went to Trương Tuấn Giang for the photo Bringing the Spring depicting a middle-aged couple harvesting peach blossoms to prepare for Tết (Lunar New Year).

“Their faces look radiant and happy," said An. "Spring comes with family happiness and a desire for good things.”

The exhibition will run until Sunday at the Exhibition House, 45 Tràng Tiền Street, Hà Nội. — VNS
