HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Tuesday encouraged artists to submit applied fine art works for an exhibition to be held in the capital in September.

The National Fine Arts Exhibition is held every five years.

Works will be divided into three groups: creative designs including graphics, multimedia, interior design, toys, fashion and accessories; decorative products including handicrafts; and products used in daily life.

Ministry representative Vi Kiến Thành said it would be focusing on creative designs and cultural features.

“The event aims to praise creativity but is also an opportunity for society to understand the potential and role of applied fine arts in daily life, economic development, tourism and culture,” Thành said.

The event would also help enterprises to connect with talented artists, he said.

Entries should be sent to the department at 38 Cao Bá Quát, Ba Đình District, Hà Nội between June 26 and 30.
