Vietnamese will have chance to learn making Korean traditional dishes under the direct guidance of well-known Korean chef Lee Won Il by attending a cooking class that will open at Movenpick Hà Nội Hotel on Monday.

HÀ NỘI — Well-known Korean chef Lee Won Il will be holding a cooking class at the Movenpick Hà Nội Hotel on Monday.

The class is being organised by the Movenpick HàNội Hotel and the Korea Agro-Fisheries&Food Trade Corporation. Chefs from the hotels will also be there to provide assistance.

Hundreds of participants have been selected after registing on Facebook page I like K-Food.

According to a representative, the event is part of a programme to promote fresh Korean aquatic and agricultural products in Việt Nam, while enhancing the understanding of Korean cuisine among Vietnamese people and food cultural exchanges between the two nations.

After the class, the outstanding Korean dishes will be added to the menu of the Movenpick.

Korean chef Lee Won Il graduated from the National Univerisity, Philippines, majoring in hotel, restaurant and institutional management. He is one of the top Korean cuisine specialists, working for renowned Korean restaurants like Duran and Eddy’s Café. Lee has attended Korean food festivals held in New York and has starred in many popular TV shows. — VNS
