HỘI AN — Estonian designer Xenia Joots who owns the Yaly Couture brand will display his newest fashion collection at a fashion show to welcome the Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Finance Ministers’ Meeting in the ancient town.
Joots said the fashion would create a chance for participants at the meeting to explore the world heritage city and its culture
She said the designs featured a mixture of European and Asian styles and techniques, reflecting the latest from Hội An and the uniqueness of Yaly’s hand embroidered designs.

The night fashion show is expected to draw tourists and APEC people with magic lanterns in Hội An’s old quarter during three-days.
An exhibition has also opened at Palm Garden resort, a site hosting the Finance Ministers’ Meeting, featuring 40 colour photos of landscapes and destinations in Hội An Town, Chàm Island, Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary, Thanh Hà pottery village and craft villages of Quảng Nam Province.
The show will run from 5.30pm on October 20 at 358 Nguyễn Duy Hiệu Street.
Hội An will also debut the Việt Nam-Japan Cultural Space in a section of Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai Street from November 6-11.
The 500m street section, from the Japanese Bridge to the city’s Hoài River Square, will feature Japanese and Vietnamese crafts including Hội An lanterns, Thanh Hà pottery, wood sculpture, silk and Japanese yukata, origami and tea making. — VNS
