HCM CITY — Young Vietnamese artists at home and abroad are eligible to participate in the first aerial-photo contest launched by the Hồ Chí Minh City Photography Association.
The competition is part of the group‘s art activities and exhibitions to celebrate the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27.
The aim of the contest is to highlight love for country and the lives of young people, their dreams and hopes.
Images of landscapes, minority groups and their traditional culture and lifestyle are encouraged.
Submissions should be in black and white or colour, and without editing.
Photos captured by flycam are also encouraged.
Participants should send their work before August 5 to the organising board to the association’s website www.hoba.vn or 122 Sương Nguyệt Ánh Street, District 1.
Organisers will award 10 top prizes, including one first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes, totalling several million đồng.
Dozens of consolation prizes will also be given.
The best photos will be exhibited on the city’s Book Street (Nguyễn Văn Bình Street) to celebrate National Day on September 22. — VNS
