HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam National Administration of Tourism has launched a new tourism product at Flamingo Đại Lải Resort, the northern province of Vĩnh Phúc.
Nguyễn Văn Tuấn, head of the VNAT, said this is the first time tourists can join the ‘Art in the Forest’ tour combining relaxing and enjoying artworks over one or two days.
“Outdoor sculptures to create artistic space are popular in foreign countries, but not in Việt Nam,” he said. “The artworks are beautiful and suitable with the surrounding space, nature and architecture.”
“This is a new, breakthrough product for Vietnamese tourism. I believe that the beautiful spaces and artworks will bring much emotion to tourists.”
Tourists can explore 23 sculptures displayed outdoors and indoors. They are the result of creative camps launched in 2014 gathering domestic and international artists.
They can also contemplate the architecture of the resort, which received many international prizes such as FuturArc Prize 2012, Asian Congress of Architects’ Award 2014 and the US’s Green Good Design 2014.
