ĐÀ NẴNG — Top flower designers from Asian countries and Vietnam will take part in the Đà Nẵng International Flower Show at the city’s Risemount Resort on November 25-26.

The event’s organisers said in a press conference on Wednesday that the event will draw 18 designers from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Việt Nam and France.

Participants will compete in two categories on November 25 – flower fashion design and free style.

They will also present flower arrangements in accordance with the theme Mediation in Tea and Flower. That event will take place at Mangala Garden in Ocean Villa on Trường Sa Street in Ngũ Hành Sơn district on November 26.

A flower fashion show will take place that same evening, featuring a fashion collection made of fresh and dried flowers.

The organising committee hopes the event will boost Đà Nẵng as a destination for future fashion shows and flower design contests.

Visitors will be offered a free tour of the flower design collections at the Risemount Resort on November 27.

Đà Nẵng is the only city in Việt Nam hosting the International Fireworks Competition, and also holds various annual sports activities, including VNG Ironman 70.3, the Đà Nẵng International Marathon and the Clipper 2015-16 Round the World Yacht Race.  — VNS
