Contemporary art market opens

Some 20 art works by nine noted contemporary artists will be available for sale at Atum Atum, an event kicking off a series of activities hosted by the organisation Real Art.

HÀ NỘI — Some 20 art works by nine noted contemporary artists will be available for sale at Atum Atum, an event kicking off a series of activities hosted by the organisation Real Art.

The artists displaying their work include Vũ Tân Dân, Trần Lương, Trương Tân, Lê Quảng Hà and Russian American artist Leonid Tsetkov

The event will be held at the Hanoi Creative City, 1 Lương Yên Street, till October 9.

Late painter Vũ Tân Dân was among three Vietnamese artists to join the Asia-Pacific Contemporary programme in 1996 and 1997. Several of his works have been collected in countries like France, New Zealand, Australia and Germany, as well as Finland, Japan, the United States and Singapore.

Trần Lương has been a pioneer in Việt Nam’s art community. His works have been showcased among the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in the United States, the Singapore Art Museum and the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in Japan.

Painter Leonid Tsetkov has participated in various big events at art museums in the United States, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany. — VNS
