HÀ NỘI — A photo competition celebrating the city’s culture and tourism, entitled Hội An – Untold Stories, has been organised by the People’s Committee in co-operation with Golden Sand Resort & Spa.

On the 41st anniversary of the liberation of Hội An, the photo competition was designed to showcase the city’s beauty, people, culture and tourism for the benefit of local residents and foreign tourists.

The top prize, worth VNĐ15 million (US$750), went to Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh. Lê Huy Tuấn and Ngô Việt Khánh Huy were first and second runners-up with a cash prize of VNĐ10 million and VNĐ5 million, respectively.

The three finalists were asked to stay in Hội An and discover the city through their lens over two days. They then submitted the photos to the organisers, who picked the winner and runners up.

The jury consisted of gallerists, photo editors, art collectors and leading photographers, including photographer Na Sơn, photojournalist Nguyễn Hoàng Hà, and Nguyễn Văn Lanh, head of Hội An City’s Culture and Information Office.

The organising board received more than 2,000 entries sent by 220 Vietnamese and foreign photographers.
