New Wind Ensemble to play first concert of 2016 music series

New Wind Ensemble will play a concert on April 13. The event will open a series of concerts organised by the Goethe-Institut Hà Nội and the Việt Nam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) this year.

HÀ NỘI — New Wind Ensemble will play a concert on April 13. The event will open a series of concerts organised by the Goethe Institute in Hà Nội and the Việt Nam National Symphony Orchestra this year.

Members of the Vietnamese quintet include flutist Nguyễn Thị Diệu Quỳnh, oboist Hoàng Mạnh Lâm, bassoonist Trần Minh Đức, horn player Tạ Tiến Đạt, and clarinettist Nguyễn Minh Hoàng.

They will play music by Strauss, Mozart, Cambini, Farkas and Ibert. The repertoire will cover lively Viennese dance music from the 19th century, as well as cheerful Parisian tunes from the 1930s.

Due to the limited number of seats, the concert will only welcome visitors aged 12 and older to attend.
