A feast on the breeze in Đà Nẵng

More than 100 food pavilions offering 5,000 food and beer combos will serve visitors and local gastronomers at the annual Đà Nẵng Food Tour Festival at Biển Đông (East Sea) Park and Tam Thanh coastal mural village from May 20–24, stirring a summer holiday breeze.

ĐÀ NẴNG — A sea breeze carries more than salt this May, as more than 100 food pavilions serving 5,000 food and beer combos are set to tempt visitors and local gastronomers at the annual Đà Nẵng Food Tour Festival at Biển Đông (East Sea) Park and Tam Thanh coastal mural village on May 20–24, stirring up a summer holiday atmosphere.

The city’s tourism promotion centre said the festival aims to attract tourists keen to explore the distinctive cuisine of the former Quảng Nam region and Đà Nẵng City while enjoying beach holidays in Đà Nẵng, the ancient town of Hội An and other popular destinations in central Việt Nam.

It said a series of cultural and music performances will be organised from 4pm to 10.30pm during the festival.

The city’s Culture, Sports and Tourism department said a digital food map, foodtourdanang.vn, will be introduced at the festival to provide information on 400 food service destinations that meet high standards for hospitality, safety, health and environmental friendliness.

A ShopeeFood Concert and Beer Fest Night will be among the key attractions, offering a range of mouth-watering menus and promotions at the festival, the department said.

Đà Nẵng is seen as the first city in Việt Nam to launch a culinary experience campaign, the Đà Nẵng Food Tour, along with ‘cuisine passports’ to attract tourists during the high season.

Đà Nẵng, which welcomed 17.6 million tourists in 2025, expects to receive 19.1 million visitors in 2026.

The beach city has long been a favourite venue for food showcases and events in recent decades and is well known for dishes such as Mỳ Quảng (a noodle dish particular to Quảng Nam and Việt Nam's central region), gỏi cá Nam Ô (Nam Ô village’s raw fish) or bánh tráng thịt heo (rice paper rolls with pork), as well as Cao Lầu (a noodle dish of Hội An).
