TÂY NINH Tây Ninh Province will host an outdoor concert at the Bà Đen Mountain National Tourism Site tonight.
The concert, with the theme Tây Ninh – Khúc Hát Tự Hào (Tây Ninh – Song of Pride), is co-organised by the province and the Nhân Dân (People) newspaper to mark the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30).
The event aims to review Việt Nam’s glorious victory in the resistance war, and honour heroes and martyrs who devoted their lives to protecting the country.
It also contributes to educating young generations about patriotism, national pride, and their responsibilities to the country.
The programme will consist of two chapters, Tây Ninh – Chiến Khu Lịch Sử (Tây Ninh – Historical Military Base) and Rạng Rỡ Tây Ninh (Glorious Tây Ninh), featuring songs in praise of the nation and the land and people of the province.
A new song about the province titled Đôi Mắt Tây Ninh (The Eyes of Tây Ninh) composed by Phúc Bồ will be performed as well.
The performance will include pop stars such as Noo Phước Thịnh, Hồ Quỳnh Hương, and Erik. Around 100 local people will join a dance performance to tell their own stories, and stories of their land.
In addition, Tây Ninh will offer a 15-minute fireworks display combining 3D projection mapping at the foot of Bà Đen Mountain.
The projection will highlight the province’s historical milestones, and popular destinations such as the Great Divine Temple.
The concert will begin at 8pm and is expected to attract 50,000 spectators. VNS
