HCM CITY - A fashion show presenting Minh Tuan Couture No. 1 collection, Dreams Come True, took place at The Grand Hồ Tràm resort in the southern province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu.

The models of the fashion show were 75 contestants from the Miss Global 2023 beauty pageant. It was attended by 350 special guests who are top celebrities such as supermodel Hà Anh, singers Phương Vy, Uyên Linh, Dương Hoàng Yến, Sarah Lưu, and Phạm Lịch.

Some celebrities showed up in designs by fashion designer Nguyễn Minh Tuấn, the establisher of Minh Tuan Couture, such as second runner-up Miss Universe 2023 Hoàng Nhung, second runner-up Miss Peace 2023 Khánh Linh, and second runner-up Miss Vietnam 2023 Thuỳ Linh.

Miss Global is one of the annual "beauty arenas" for women that attracts international fans' attention. This year, Miss Global celebrates its 10-year milestone and is hosted by Việt Nam from January 3-13.

Through various activities, the organisers aim to find a woman who embodies the criteria of a beauty queen and also possesses leadership and organisational skills to contribute to Miss Global's values and meaningful initiatives for women and children, which they have maintained over the past decade.

This year also marks the 10-year anniversary of fashion designer Nguyễn Minh Tuấn's fashion brand - Minh Tuan Couture. His highly anticipated fashion show, Dreams Come True, not only showcased his meticulously crafted designs within Minh Tuan Couture No.1 collection but also provided an opportunity for Miss Global 2023 contestants to display their physique, demonstrate their skills of performing and engage with the audience on stage.

The collection consists of 33 designs that utilise a diverse range of luxurious materials such as premium spandex, taffeta, sequins, sheer mesh, and sparkling mesh, combined with flowing voile and chiffon.

On the backdrop of premium fabrics, the designs are meticulously adorned with exquisite colour-changing embellishments, 3D sculpting, pleating, draping techniques, and intricate cutouts. The collection offers a variety of silhouettes, including flared, mermaid tail, jumpsuits, and short dress styles. Combined with thigh-high slits and eye-catching cutouts that make the designs accentuate the curves of the wearer.

Tuấn aimed to convey a message of living and creating in both art and life through the fashion show.

"Dreams Come True is a world of dreams that encourages human imagination to soar. There are dreams that are simple, yet there are also daring and audacious dreams. As a creative artist, amidst the pressures of life and money, myself and my team always keep a place in our hearts for the beauty within and outside. The designs of Minh Tuan Couture are created with the desire to showcase the beauty of the wearer, allowing them to confidently shine," he said.

Tuấn is gradually establishing himself as one of the notable Vietnamese fashion designers, leaving a mark on the international beauty pageant stage. His designs contributed to the victories of Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên and Miss Earth 2023 Drita Ziri, and were present in most of the prestigious beauty pageants, not only the Big 6 but also in various national and international competitions.

In addition to Miss Global 2023 contestants, the role of the vedettes in the fashion show was undertaken by Miss Global 2022 - Shane Tormes, and 1st Runner-up Miss Global 2022 - Sandra Lim.

The Dreams Come True fashion show also featured a collection by five young fashion designers who are Tuấn’s students. The show was hosted by supermodel Hà Anh and MC Minh Khắc, the first runner-up of the first season of The Next Gentleman. VNS
