ĐÀ NẴNG — On October 12, participants from across the globe commenced their competitions in the 'Best Swimsuit' and 'Grand Voice' categories of the Miss Grand International 2023 at the Japanese Mikazuki Đà Nẵng Resort & Spa's Nami Beach Club in the central city.

The event coordinators announced that the largest beach entertainment venue on Nguyễn Tất Thành Street will accommodate over 70 contestants from around the world, who will showcase their fashion show prowess and talents for these two events at the beachfront resort from October 12 to 13.

This marks the inaugural occasion for the Japanese-styled resort to host such a prominent segment of the Miss Grand International pageant, set against the backdrop of its magnificent beachfront location and top-tier hospitality.

The competitors are set to exhibit the epitome of confidence and beauty on the stage situated at Đà Nẵng Bay, juxtaposed against the azure waters and golden shores of Nami Beach Club, ensuring memorable moments in the resort's awe-inspiring setting.

The event's organisers announced that the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest 6, crafted by director Hoàng Nhật Nam, is set to take place at APEC Park in the city at around 7pm on October 14.

They noted that participants will embark on extensive journeys through various provinces and cities, including Hà Nội, Hạ Long, Huế, Đà Nẵng, Hội An, and HCM City, participating in qualifying rounds before progressing to the semi-finals and finals in HCM City.

The grand finale of the Miss Grand International 2023 is slated for October 25 in HCM City, as per the organising committee.

Established in 2013, Miss Grand International stands as one of the globe's most prestigious beauty pageants, emphasising humanitarian concerns and advocating for peace.

Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên holds the distinction of being the first Vietnamese to clinch the Miss Grand International title in 2021. — VNS
