ĐÀ NẴNG — "If you're having a bad day, you're still lucky that you're not a fan of the Danang Dragons". That is what Vietnamese basketball fans say after the Dragons' 14th consecutive loss in the VBA.

The home team extended their sad record by losing to the Hanoi Buffaloes by the score 115-83 on Tuesday (August 15) at Sơn Trà Stadium.

A lose for the host was predicted as the Buffaloes were the favoured team before the match. But the performance of the Dragons players and coaching staff disappointed the home team's fans.

As always, the Buffaloes' players controlled the game well thanks to their tall lineup.

They ended the first quarter with the lead, 28-21.

In the second quarter, things became more difficult for the Dragons when head coach Todd Purves and centre Jarius Holder were disqualified due to two technical fouls when they complained to the referee.

The Buffaloes players quickly took advantage of the opportunity to increase the lead.

In turn, Nguyễn Tiến Dương, Đinh Thanh Tâm, and Anthony January scored continuously to help the guests lead with a score of 61-42 before the break.

Without their head coach and core player, the Dragons could not do anything to make a comeback.

The away team raised the lead to 92-63, before winning with a final score of 115-83

The Buffaloes became the first team in VBA history score 115 points in a match.

Big man Anthony January of the Buffaloes had his career high with 41 points and 21 rebounds.

It's been more than a year since the Da Nang Dragons won a game.

It seems that this losing streak will continue to be extended as the next opponents of the Dragons are all strong and are competing for a playoff spot such as the Saigon Heat, the City Wings and the Nha Trang Dolphins. VNS
