HCM CITY The HCM City People's Committee has agreed to a plan to build eight embankments to prevent riverbank erosion and protect residential areas in Cần Giờ District.

Cần Giờ District's People's Committee will direct the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects to conduct research and complete the project document before submitting it to the authorities for approval.

In addition, other city units will be reponsible for construction of these projects that will prevent landslides in these areas.

Construction of these projects are expected to start next year with funds from the city’s budget.
