Americas among VN's largest trade partners despite of COVID-19

The Americas remained one of Việt Nam’s largest trade partners despite the adverse effect on commerce caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, heard participants at a conference, organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), aimed at connecting Vietnamese firms with trade partners in American countries in Hà Nội yesterday.

FTAs key to help find new markets

Free trade agreements (FTA) play an important part in boosting trade and commerce and help the Việt Nam's goods and services find new markets, said minister of industry and trade Trần Tuấn Anh in a report yesterday to an inspection committee organised by the National Assembly to overlook the implementation of FTAs that the country has signed.

Việt Nam becomes Japan’s biggest coffee supplier

Trade data show that Việt Nam was the top seller of unroasted beans to Japan for the first seven months of 2020. A total of 67,392 tonnes of unroasted beans were imported from the Southeast Asian country during the period, up 26 per cent year on year.
