HÀ NỘI — The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on Wednesday allowed airlines to increase the frequency of domestic flights among Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng and HCM City from April 16.
The allowance was given after Vietnamese airlines limited domestic flights from these major cities to other cities and provinces early this month to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced that it would run two return flights per day on the route between Hà Nội and HCM City as of April 16, doubling that of the first half of this month. Meanwhile, one return flight per day on the routes connecting Đà Nẵng with Hà Nội and HCM City remains in place.
Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific, a member of Vietnam Airlines Corporation, also increased the flight frequency on the route between Hà Nội and HCM City to one return flight per day, instead of four flights per week last month.
