HÀ NỘI — Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air and China Airlines will join forces to promote tourism in Việt Nam and enhance extensive cooperation in many areas.
The partnership programme will optimise benefits, incentives and service quality for passengers of three airlines.
It will also create conditions for Vietnam Airlines to improve its competitiveness in the international market.
The three companies will focus on promoting trade and tourism in the Republic of Korea and Taiwan, participating in joint booths at major events, introducing famous sea tourism destinations of Việt Nam such as Hạ Long, Nha Trang, Phú Quốc, thereby attracting tourists from the Republic of Korea and Taiwan to explore the beauty of the S-shaped country.
The airlines have also committed to coordinating joint sale programmes, expanding codeshare cooperation on routes between Việt Nam and the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, routes from Việt Nam to the US and Canada transiting at Taiwan and vice versa. Code-share flights to North America are an important premise for Vietnam Airlines to develop products that directly connect Việt Nam-US.
The carriers agreed to use each other's ground service, service, and aircraft technology at the bases of each carrier. The three firms considered the possibility of elevating cooperation to a new, tighter form such as a joint venture in the near future. — VNS
