Co.op Food was one of the first Vietnamese mini supermarket models specializing in trading convenience foods, with proper investment and a clear long-term development strategy.

Each year, Saigon Co.op puts into operation about 30 to 50 Co.op Food stores following its motto of "slow but solid", to ensure quality of goods and services, qualified staff, and environment protection at each point of sale.

Each Co.op Food mini supermarket usually trades 8,000 to 10,000 products from a list of more than 30,000 products traded at Saigon Co.op’s supermarkets and hypermarket systems.

It sells fresh food products such as meat, fishes, fruits and vegetables, poultry eggs, and milk products. It also has ready-to-cook meals such as sweet and sour fish broth, purple yam soup with minced pork, fresh bamboo shoot soup, pork stuffed bitter melon soup, braised fish in clay pot, braised chicken with ginger, fried chicken with fish sauce, to name a few. High quality Vietnamese processed food, cosmetics, cleansing products, clothing and household utensil products are also available.

To mark its milestone of having over 400 stores, Co.op Food stores nationwide will offer discounts of up to 40 per cent on about 4,000 products, and present over 2,000 umbrellas and helmets. In addition, it has coordinated with Abbott to organize a lucky draw, with gifts including washing machines, premium kitchen utensils and vouchers. — VNS
