The 30-storey Oakwood Residence Saigon has 237 serviced apartments ranging in size from studio to three-bedroom units, and facilities such as a meeting room, restaurants, fitness centre, swimming pool, and children’s playground.

Cheng said, “Having successfully transformed the HarbourFront and Alexandra precincts in Singapore, Mapletree brought its expertise to HCM City and created a ‘work, live and play’ environment at Saigon South Place.”

Nguyễn Anh Đức, permanent deputy chairman of Saigon Co.op, said: “Seven years ago Saigon Co.op Investment Development JSC and Mapletree broke ground for SC Vivo City mall. It had occupancy of above 95 per cent in its third year of operation in 2018 and the football at the shopping mall is also increasing annually.
