HCM CITY — Indochina Hội An Beach Villas Company Limited, a subsidiary of Bamboo Capital Group, broke ground on Monday for its Malibu MGM Hội An condotel and villa project.

Located on Hà My Beach in the so-called "five star boulevard" from Mỹ Khê to Cửa Đại, Malibu MGM Hội An will cost nearly VNĐ2 trillion (US$85.97 million) and spread over nearly 11ha with 94 villas and 600 condotel units.

It will be environmentally friendly with solar energy use, energy-saving designs, maximum use of natural light, and green space for each villa and condotel.

Indochina Hội An Beach Villas Company Limited last month signed agreements with local and international companies for the project.

They include the US’s BAKH Architecture (master layout design), Signature Architect Việt Nam (interior and landscape design), Tracodi (engineering procurement and construction contractor) and Nam Á Bank and Vietcombank (financing for the project and buyers).

The handover is scheduled in the third quarter of 2020.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Bamboo Capital donated VNĐ150 million ($6,448) to the local authority of Điện Bàn town’s Điện Dương Ward to build three charity houses. — VNS
