HÀ NỘI — JupViec.vn, a household service start-up connecting domestic workers and customers via mobile phone apps, has received an undisclosed investment from San Francisco-based investment fund Patamar Capital.

Phạm Hồng Minh, CEO of JupViec.vn, told ictnews.vn that with the new capital, it will focus on enhancing technology, in particular human resources for tech team, expand operations to large cities and provinces as well as add other services, such as laundry and water and electricity system repairs.

According to Đỗ Hồng Yến from the Patamar Investment Fund, JupViec.vn’s development will improve the quality of life of women who work as domestic helpers and at the same time help change the society’s view of an occupation that is necessary but often underestimated.

Started in 2012, JupViec.vn provides domestic help services to more than 10,000 customers in Hà Nội and HCM City through its network of 3,000 housemaids, including hourly help, daily help and post-construction industrial cleaning.

This is the second fundraising of JupViec.vn since it received a six-digit seed funding from Japan’s CyberAgent Ventures in 2015.

By applying modern technologies in the recruitment, training and management of workers, JupViec.vn has created a new model of technology-based hourly domestic help, which has helped resolve most of the problems of working families by providing them domestic helpers who have been screened and trained to meet certain standards.

Patamar Capital, previously known as Unitus Impact, is one of the most active venture capital funds in Southeast Asia investing in enterprises that have a social impact.
