HÀ NỘI — Yamaha Motor Việt Nam is recalling 31,650 Yamaha Acruzo-2TD1 motorbikes produced from September 22 last year to August 3 this year due to technical defects.
Earlier, some customers complained that their motorbikes vibrated when operating at low speed. After consideration, the company decided to implement the recall programme to repair the problem.
Yamaha Acruzo owners, whose motorbikes having frame numbers from RLCSEA910FY001001 to RLCSEA910GY032650, should bring their motorbikes to the company’s dealers or authorised service stations to have them checked, while the engine control unit (ECU) will be re-programmed for free.
The programme will last until March 19 next year. Customers can contact the hotline for 24-hour free support at 18001588, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
The ministry will actively monitor the recall programme and continue updating information to consumers and press agencies in the future. — VNS
