HÀ NỘI — Sparks of compassion and dedication are set to shine nationwide as the Saigon Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation (SABECO), in collaboration with Đại Đoàn Kết Newspaper and under the guidance of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee, officially launched the 'Fire Inspirer' Awards and opened the online voting portal at https://150ydisanvuoncao.sabeco.com.vn.

Part of SABECO’s Project Shine initiative, the awards aim to celebrate 150 exemplary individuals from across the country — ordinary people whose extraordinary contributions are helping shape Việt Nam’s development. Through their inspiring stories, the programme seeks to promote compassion, responsibility and resilience while reinforcing the spirit of national solidarity.

Online voting is now open, allowing individuals to vote for one nominee every 24 hours, with unlimited votes throughout the campaign period.

To ensure fairness and transparency, a Central Appraisal Council has been formed, including representatives from the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, Đại Đoàn Kết Newspaper, relevant ministries, SABECO’s leadership and independent experts from various fields. The council will evaluate nominations based on integrity, contribution and social impact.

From nominations submitted nationwide through the Fatherland Front system, 150 'Fire Inspirers' have been shortlisted for their outstanding work across six key areas: Education and vocational training: empowering communities through teaching, skill-building and career guidance; Environmental sustainability: protecting nature and promoting sustainable living; Balanced lifestyle and public health: encouraging active, healthy and community-minded living; Community development: driving positive change and improving rural livelihoods; Culture, arts and sports: preserving heritage, fostering creativity and promoting teamwork and wellbeing; and Science and technology for community: applying innovation for local sustainable growth.

The appraisal process, closely supervised by the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, ensures social inclusivity across gender, ethnicity, religion, geography and profession. The awards also prioritise unsung heroes whose practical community work has yet to receive national recognition.

Final results will be based on a weighted scoring system: 70 per cent from public votes and 30 per cent from the Central Appraisal Council’s evaluation. The top 15 national 'Fire Inspirers' will be honoured at a gala ceremony in Hà Nội later this year.

Vũ Văn Tiến, Member of the Presidium and Head of the Communications Department of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee, highlighted the programme’s social value: “The ‘Fire Inspirer’ Awards honour ordinary individuals whose compassion and dedication bring positive energy to society. These stories of goodness and perseverance inspire citizens, especially the younger generation, to contribute to a more united and humane Việt Nam.”

Through the initiative, SABECO reaffirms its long-term commitment to sustainable development and community engagement, marking another milestone in its 150-year journey of brewing pride and progress for Việt Nam.

“Each inspiring story represents a spark of change,” said a SABECO representative. “By recognising these individuals, we aim to spread the spirit of resilience, kindness and national pride — the same values that have guided SABECO for generations.” — VNS
