HCM CITY — The Việt Nam International Baby Products & Toys Expo and the Việt Nam International Gift and Housewares Expo opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City on Wednesday.

The former brings together more than 200 local and foreign brands and a wide range of products, including artistic and educational toys and baby products.

The houseware expo has attracted more than 150 brands of kitchenware, household goods and gifts.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hou Huaizhi, deputy general director of CHAOYU EXPO, one of the organisers, said Việt Nam, as one of Southeast Asia’s leading economies, has become an attractive destination for Chinese investors and businesses, particularly in fields such as toys, gifts, and household appliances.

It is considered a market with great potential, and the expo is an ideal foundation for businesses in the two countries to cooperate for mutual benefit, he said.

The exhibitions also serve as an effective platform for manufacturers, distributors and businesses in the industry to showcase new products, exchange technologies, expand markets, and establish effective business connections in Việt Nam, he said.

It is an opportunity to bring together leading industry experts to share insights and provide a perspective on market trends, he added.

Workshops, seminars, networking sessions, and other activities are scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the exhibitions.

The expos, organised by VINEXAD and CHAOYU EXPO, will run until Friday. —VNS
