ĐÀ NẴNG — Hong Kong Airlines has officially opened daily flights to Đà Nẵng, offering more options for tourists and investors as well as exchanges between financial centres.

The airline will operate Airbus A320 planes for the daily flights. The introduction has increased the number of flights between the two cities to 21 per week.

Two other airlines – Hong Kong Express and VietJet are also operating Hong Kong-Đà Nẵng flights.

The budget carrier Vietjet also began Hong Kong-Phú Quốc flight last year, offering smooth trips for travellers.

Đà Nẵng still maintains its position as one of Asia's leading festival destination.

The beach city welcomed 5.1 million tourists, of which 2 million were foreigners, in the first half this year, marking a 25.6 per cent growth in comparison to the same period last year.

A report from the city’s Tourism Department unveiled that accommodation and the cuisine service industry earned VNĐ13 trillion (US$520 million) in revenue in the first six months of 2024. — VNS
