HÀ NỘI — More than 100 enterprises from China displayed their products at the CA-MEXPO Mechanical and Electronic products exhibition in Việt Nam 2017 held in Hà Nội on Thursday.

The exhibition, which will last through Saturday, displayed items of machinery, equipment and technology solutions for the manufacturing, engineering and electronics industries.

The products, machinery and equipment showcased at the exhibition include industrial machinery; transport vehicles; agricultural, construction and woodworking machines, and furniture production equipment. Mining machines, equipment security, electronics and electrical appliances, new energy, and technology, and energy saving equipment are also being displayed at the exhibition.

These products are designed to suit the needs and the consumption capacity of the Vietnamese enterprises. The exhibition is displaying many new products with advanced features and advanced technology.

“CA-MEXPO is an important trade promotion activity, helping Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises expand their business and investment co-operation, in line with the orientation of promoting technology transfer in the field of mechanics and electronics,” said Trần Quốc Khánh, deputy minister of Industry and Trade, at the opening ceremony.

This is the second CA-MEXPO exhibition held in Việt Nam. Last year, more than 100 exhibitors from different cities and regions of China participated in the event, which served as an effective platform to improve commercial trade between the two countries’ enterprises.

China is now Việt Nam’s leading trade partner. Last year, two-way trade experienced a yearly rise of 2.5 per cent to more than US$98 billion.

The event is organised by the Trade Promotion Agency and the Ministry of Industry and Trade in accordance with the China– SEAN Expo Secretariat.

Việt Nam–China business forum will also take place during the exhibition period. — VNS
