Transport businesses in Ha Noi stripped of licences

The licences of some 1,225 transport entities in Hà Nội have been revoked, reported Tuổi Trẻ (Youth) newspaper.

HÀ NỘI — The licences of some 1,225 transport entities in Hà Nội have been revoked, reported Tuổi Trẻ (Youth) newspaper. 

According to the Hà Nội Transportation Department, passenger buses whose licences have been revoked had failed to operate within six months after acqquiring their licences. Among the 1,225 registrations, there are 389 companies and 812 family businesses, with a total of 1,200 registered vehicles.

The department has asked those businesses to hand over their licences and badges within 15 days.

Đào Việt Long, head of the department’s transport management division, told the newspaper that the revoking would be implemented and monitored by the division and the city’s transport inspectors.

Businesses or households that used the licences to enjoy tax preferential treament will be reported to the taxation agency, Long said. — VNS
