HÀ NỘI — More than 30 paintings, photos and sculptures by 11 Dutch artists were displayed at an exhibition hosted by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Hà Nội.

The collection is part of an art tour dubbed Asian Teaser Tour by Margin Art & Media, an international art company based in the Netherlands and with offices in Hong Kong. The company manages artists all over the world, arranging artistic collaborations and managing art portfolios for investors.

The tour started in Hong Kong last September, before coming to Việt Nam. The tour will move to Singapore in March this year.

The artists on show include Kim Habers, Nora Kastein, Pim Trooster and Lars Weller with various styles and artistic views.

“We have a combination of artists who are original, with distinctive styles and also their art is going up in value,” said Hugh Neil, Group Director of the company, “60 per cent of our clients are companies with portfolios. They buy art works, which go up in value. In particular, we look for artists who are dynamic.”

This teaser tour has an extremely wide focus in terms of artistic styles, he said.

“We are speaking to 12 Vietnamese galleries and 15 Vietnamese artists,” he said, “We intend to select six Vietnamese artists to introduce throughout Asia, including Việt Nam, later.”

“Việt Nam is an important market, as one of the strongest growing in Asia,” he said.

The company has organised exhibitions throughout the world, while making 40 per cent of their profit in Asia. — VNS
