HÀ NỘI — The Malaysian Flavors Food Festival 2016, which began on Monday, offers visitors the opportunity to experience Malaysia’s diverse cuisine and traditional culture in the heart of Hà Nội.

The three-day culinary festival is part of activities marking the 59th anniversary of Malaysia’s National Day on Wednesday (August 31) and to promote the image of the country as an interesting and friendly destination to Vietnamese and international tourists.

Two culinary ambassadors, chef Rossham Rosli and sous-chef Tuan Khairul Iqkwan from Malaysian hotel Sun Putra, have introduced 70 signature Malaysian dishes for lunch and dinner for food lovers in Hà Nội.

The list includes the famous Ayam Percik, which is grilled chicken marinated in various spices, with coconut milk and tamarind juice, and a great variety of dessert and drink options. Malaysian traditional spices and herbs, combined with freshly prepared Vietnamese raw material, have brought out the aromatic flavors of the traditional Malaysian preparations.

The festival will continue until Wednesday at the Sunway Hotel on 19 Phạm Đình Hổ Street in Hai Bà Trưng District of Hà Nội. Visitors will get a chance to win a free three-night, four-day holiday to Kuala Lumpur. — VNS
