HCM CITY —  Customs agents at Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport and the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department on Wednesday arrested a man for trying to smuggle 10kg of elephant tusks into the country.

The airport custom agents checked the luggage of the passenger who lives in Hà Tĩnh Province and found two tusks weighing a total of 10kg.

The tusks, painted black and wrapped in foil, were hidden inside a container of lobster and dried fish.
