LÂM ĐỒNG — The People’s Committee of the Tây Nguyên (Central Highlands) province of Lâm Đồng has slapped a fine of VNĐ425 million (US$18,800) on Atlantic Commodities Việt Nam Co Ltd for violating environmental regulations.

The company, located in the central highlands province’s Bảo Lộc Town, had installed pipes and was releasing untreated waste water illegally into the environment, the local environment police said.

Apart from the fine, the company has been ordered to dismantle the pipes and take steps to rectify the environmental pollution caused by the violations. VNS
