HÀ NỘI — Samsung sent its outstanding employees from its two plants at Samsung Bắc Ninh and Samsung Thái Nguyên to the Galaxy S9 and S9+ launch event in Spain.

This is the first time Samsung has sent its employees to a launch event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), which kicked off in Barcelona, Spain on Monday and will conclude on March 1.

The delegation comprises eight outstanding employees - two managers and six operators. Besides producing the S9 in Việt Nam, they have contributed to Samsung Electronics Việt Nam (SEV) since it was first established. The initiative is part of a series of activities commemorating the 10th anniversary of SEV to extend gratitude to long-service employees.

Shim Won Hwan, president of Samsung Việt Nam Complex, said: “This year marks the 10-year operational milestone in Việt Nam. Among more than 160,000 employees working in all Samsung factories in Việt Nam, many of them have been with Samsung since the early days of operation and have overcome the ups and downs together with the company’s management board.”

Given that we increasingly communicate and express ourselves with images, videos and emojis, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ drive innovation with Samsung’s most advanced camera ever.

Attending the Unpacked event, Nguyễn Thị Hậu, member of the production team at SEV, said: “It’s great pride to witness the unpacked event of S9/S9+, the most superb hi-tech products made by us, at the world’s leading technology event. It gives us more motivation and confidence that the Vietnamese people can produce the most advanced hi-tech products that are highly appreciated by consumers globally.”

After the launch, the “Made in Việt Nam” phones, manufactured by Vietnamese labourers in these two factories, will be exported to 128 nations and territories across the globe. — VNS
