HCM City will need to promote the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the education sector as part of its effort to become a smart city by 2030, experts said.

Returning to the central province of Thừa Thiên Huế after more than two years of lockdown due to the pandemic, Lưu Hoàng Long and his wife, a Vietnamese Australian, chose first to visit Đông Ba Market, the biggest traditional local shopping centre in the ancient royal city of Huế.

The first phase of the Public Bike Sharing System – an innovative public bike-sharing scheme by the International Co-operation Agency of Germany (GIZ), tech firm Vietsoftpro and the central provincial people’s committee – has been launched in Huế City with an aim of developing a bicycle transportation plan for 2021-2026.

HCM City plans to speed up urbanisation of the four outlying districts of Cần Giờ, Củ Chi, Hóc Môn and Bình Chánh, making them cities by 2030 like it did to the erstwhile Thủ Đức District.

Hải Dương Province, e-commerce platforms and local produce exporters signed cooperation agreements on supporting sales of the province’s lychees and other typical products at a trade promotion conference held on Sunday.
