HÀ NỘI — Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyễn Ngọc Thiện this morning sent his congratulations to the national women's football team who beat Myanmar 1-0 in the third round of qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 to enter the fourth and final round of the women’s qualifiers on Thursday.
Thiện said to have this win, the women’s team had to overcome many difficulties such as lacking key players, training and competing in cold weather. He appreciated the efforts of head coach, training board, players and doctors who brought joy for Vietnamese fans and people.
Thiện wished the whole team good health and to continue bringing into play the qualities of Vietnamese women.
