HÀ NỘI — The Asian Karate Championship 2019 will begin in the southern province of Cần Thơ on July 15.

The event is expected to draw about 1,000 officials, coaches and athletes from 40 countries and territories.

The event, which will last until July 21, will serve as qualification for athletes to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
